Disturbing report from a listener

Tonight, June 25, 2009, at 8:01pm CST, a VERY DISTURBING automated voice mail message was left on our answering machine from President Obama. The beginning of it was cut off, but here’s what I was able to transcribe:
Obama: “…..strong labor movement. Unions put their shoulder behind the wheel and made life better for working people. I believe in unions.”
Announcer: “President Obama wants you to help raise wages and rebuild the middle class by joining a union. Thousands of workers in the St. Louis area are joining unions. Now is the time to join us. If you are interested in joining a union, please press 3. If you are not interested, please press 5. Now is the time to join us. If you are interested in joining a union, please press 3. If you are not interested, please press 5. Now is the time to join us. If you are interested in joining a union, please press 3. If you are not interested, please press 5. Thank you. For more information, call us at 1-866-784-3141.”
For some reason, it repeated the “Now is the time…..” two more times before the call finally ended. I guess Obama wanted to make sure that my husband and I knew he wanted us to join a union.
I called the toll free number to find out who was behind this. I got an answering machine that identified the organization as “Change to Win”. It went on to thank me for my interest in wanting to organize a union.
WHAT SCARES ME IS THEM ASKING US TO IDENTIFY OURSELVES AS EITHER FOR OR AGAINST JOINING UNIONS. We are conservatives who vote Republican, and we are against joining unions, so why we got this call is beyond me. Are they doing this to blacklist us??? It sounds paranoid, but what’s going to happen to us when we need to see a doctor and the government knows we are conservative Republicans? VERY CHILLING THOUGHT!!!!
Also, isn’t it an interesting coincidence that union workers will be exempt from having their health insurance benefits taxed if we get Obama socialized medicine??? Sounds like Obama is trying to herd us into the union fold like a bunch of dumb sheep.
This is the second time in two days that I’ve heard about this. I checked out Change for Win. It seems like an astroturfing organization comprised of various unions. It’s the usual fare: Wal-Mart hate blah, blah, blah. Let’s bully and intimidate people because they don’t want to wind up like GM, overrun with exorbitant costs unrelated to output, and end up in the tank and half owned by both the very thing which contributed to its financial clusterfark and the government.
Interesting that they’re requesting those whom they call to identify themselves. More incentive to rally behind SOSBallot.org, me things. It’s beginning to ramp up, folks, gird your loins.
*UPDATE: The P/Oed Patriot reports that Change to Win is connected to the Communist Party USA:
It appears that During the Last Presidential Election, Communist Party USA worked with “Core Forces” to remove the Republicans. One of the “Core Forces” was “Change to Win”.
