Douche of the Week
The “Douche of the Week” is selected on Friday by callers and emails from a shortlist of the week’s top newsmakers.
The week of October 23:
Newt Gingrich, for his endorsement of ACORN-backed candidate Dede Scozzafava, bellweather RINO in New York’s 23rd district, for calling Scozzafava the new direction of the Republican party, and for attacking tea partiers as being “divisive” for for claiming that his limited, narrow-minded platform of Democrat-lite is big tent. Tea Partiers have proved that conservatism is truly big tent by attracting all religions, races, and political denominations to the cause – and by leading the way for the GOP in netroots.
The week of October 16:
Bryan Burwell, newspaper columnist, for his admitted inability to fact-check a quote libelously attributed to Rush Limbaugh, just because it “sounds like something he would say.”
