Man who lost to Obama for Nobel Peace Prize speaks in Alton

Greg Mortensen, whose 15-years of working for Pakistani children apparently weren’t enough to match Obama’s eleven days in office spoke in Alton, Illinois today:

Mortenson is the co-founder of nonprofit Central Asia Institute and founder of Pennies for Peace.

In March of 2009, Mortenson received Pakistan’s highest civil award for his efforts to promote education and literacy in rural areas of the country for fifteen years.
