Rob Reiner look-alike David Axelrod is so far removed from knowing what Americans want, he forgets that the GOP is doing nothing more than representing the will of the majority of Americans. Yes, it is a departure from what the minority Republicans did in the Democrat-ruled congress towards the end of Bush’s term, and yes, it is nice that at least one party in DC cares about the Constitution. Axelrod on the Sunday morning circuit doing an poor impersonation of Clint Eastwood:
Top White House adviser David Axelrod says that if Congress passes the Democrats’ national health care bill, it will be politically impossible for Republicans to undo the changes brought by the massive legislation. “I say, Let’s have that fight. Make my day,” Axelrod said on “Meet the Press.” “I’m ready to have that, and every member of Congress ought to be willing to have that debate was well.”
The Democrats hysterically attempt to pass the buck on why they’ve failed at moving the ball past the goal line. They’ve wasted a congressional super majority pacifying special interest groups like big pharma and trial lawyers and cobbled together a heinous bill that destroys individual liberty and 1/6 of the economy than it “helps” Americans with health care. The irony is that the problem with health care is government meddling; instead of allowing free market practices the government is attempting to amp up existing regulations and replicate Medicare on a much larger scale. The infighting in their party is such to underscore this fact.
Yes, this is the moment, the moment the Democrat party decides to become Democrats again or fully step into socialism with this act of tyranny.
