Obama’s Approval Rating Continues to Tank

Daily Presidential Tracking Poll:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows that 25% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -17

Data from the Rasmussen Consumer Index surveys shows that most Republicans (57%) believe the economy is getting worse while a plurality of Democrats (46%) say it is getting better. Among those not affiliated with either major party, 29% say better and 43% worse. [my emphasis]

The bold is the independents, the group that the Demoncrats are hemorrhaging. This doesn’t bode well for the left this fall. They either have to convince people that a tripled deficit since 2008 and a high unemployment rate, added to excessive Washington spending, is a good thing or change the course of their party to win. Now that the electorate is awake and becoming more and more informed, the former looks more difficult that the latter.
